The NHS generates a huge amount of data which can be analysed and used to drive improvements in care and how services are run.
Intelligent data analysis results in improved patient outcomes and experience, as well as optimal use of NHS resources. The aim of the NHS Transformation Analytics Unit is to modernise and strengthen the use of data and analytics across the health and care system.
The unit consists of a team of experienced analysts, economists, data scientists and data engineers. We are here to provide leadership to analysts that are working in the system and raise data analysis up the health and care system agenda. We want to support the sharing of new powerful techniques and best practice and bring analysts together to share ideas.
Our main areas of work are set out below. You can also read more about what we do and why and if you have a question, please do get in touch by emailing analytics-unit@nhsx.nhs.uk.
