Agenda items/minutes/action notes
Introductions
Panel members were welcomed to the meeting by the Chair, who also ran through the agenda.
Review of previous meeting’s action notes and declaration of interest
Subject to an apology being added for the last two meetings the action notes from the previous meeting were approved for publication and no conflict of interests were raised
Powered by Data Scripts
The first 3 scripts have previously been reviewed by the panel. Two more scripts have been produced which will be presented to the panel today. The finances for these have been approved and are now awaiting final ministerial approval before they can proceed.
The first script presented to the panel related to a NHS Galleri cancer trial on early detection of cancer. One hundred and forty thousand patients nationwide were invited to support with the research.
The second script presented to the panel related to an Alzheimer's drug which could be used to prevent further deterioration in some patients.
The panel were thanked for their discussion and valuable and helpful feedback which will be incorporated into the revised version and bought back to the group with imagery.
Individual review of COPI slides and mailed feedback
The panel were asked to use the time that would have been allocated in the meeting to review and provide feedback on the COPI slides. All feedback will be used to improve and update the slide deck and will be bought back and presented at the next meeting.
Feedback to be submitted via email as a reply to previous correspondence sent. Alternatively, comments can be added directly to the slide deck or listed in a word document and emailed as above no later than 7 March 2024.
Any other business
The panel were advised to submit their timesheets following the usual process.
