Panel members were welcomed to the meeting by the Chair, who also ran through the agenda.
Review of previous meeting’s action notes and declaration of interest
The action notes from the previous meeting were approved for publication and no conflict of interest was raised.
Powered by NHS Data case studies
The Head of Communication and Engagement for GP Data sought feedback from the panel on upcoming case studies of the Powered by NHS Data project. The panel provided input on the messaging and creative of multiple case studies, including language use, terminology and ordering of voice-over lines. The panel also reflected on the sensitivity of some topics being considered for case studies.
Debrief on public research
The Communication Manager leading on public engagement for health data provided a debrief on recently commissioned research into the views of the public towards health data, how it’s used and communications needs. The panel were informed that the research would be made publicly available in the next few months and will be used to inform the delivery of large-scale public engagement events on health data, which has been publicised in a press release in September 2023.

The Chair raised a few points on the following:
- Meeting regularity over Christmas – the panel were informed the following meeting, 4 January 2024, is likely to be cancelled due to staff availability.
