Virtual wards templates

Virtual wards support people who would otherwise be in hospital, to receive the care and treatment they need in their own home or usual place of residence.

NHS England’s information governance (IG) guidance on virtual wards provides advice to patients and service users, healthcare professionals and IG professionals, about how confidential patient information should be used by those involved in delivering care via virtual wards. It also sets out key IG considerations to ensure virtual wards are set up in a lawful and secure way.
